Today, we sat down with Caitlin Quinn, our incredible Foxy Fam ambassador, to chat about her journey in hairdressing, the highs and challenges of the industry, and the little rituals that keep her inspired. Caitlin's Career Journey
Q: What first drew you to hairdressing? Can you share how you fell in love with the industry?
A: I’ve always loved being creative and making people feel good. Hair is the one accessory you can't take off.
Q: Looking back, what has been the most defining moment of your career so far?
A: Moving to the Gold Coast and focusing on creating and specialising more in lived-in blondes, that’s when I really found my flow.
Q: What’s one industry challenge you’ve faced, and how did you overcome it?
A: Burnout! Long days are real. Making sure I look after myself so I’m able to look after others has been the biggest lesson.
Q: Where do you see the hair industry heading in the next few years?
A: Healthier hair, low-maintenance colour, and warmer tones becoming more popular.
Behind the Chair
Q: How do you approach keeping your creativity fresh behind the chair?
A: Education, education, education! In this industry we never stop learning!
Q: Is there a technique, service, or trend you’re especially passionate about right now?
A: Lowlights, creating more texture and dimension through colour.
Q: What advice would you give to young stylists just starting their career?
A: Lots of watching and learning. There’s so much you can pick up from the stylists around you.
Life Outside the Salon
Q: Hairdressing can be demanding — what does work-life balance mean to you, and how do you protect it?
A: Looking after myself so I can give my best to clients. Not working weekends, more physical movement, time in the sun, and knowing when to rest.
Q: What’s one ritual, hobby, or routine outside of the salon that keeps you grounded?
A: Morning sunrise beach walks, nothing clears my head better.

Q: What’s your favourite Foxy Blondes product and why?
A: Right now it’s got to be the Saddle Up print and I’m a massive fan of the extra wide sized foils too.
Q: How do our foils/tools change the way you work day-to-day?
A: I love the pop-up foils. They save me so much time when foiling! And I use the medium tint brush every single day when foiling.

Q: What are your all-time holy grail hair products?
A: A good texture spray, anything that gives the hair heaps of volume and texture.
Q: One thing in your kit — or in your life — that you couldn’t live without?
A: My detangling brush, this baby doesn’t leave my side in the salon.
